The teams are set (mostly) for the annual "Northland Y & O Challenge" that will be held tomorrow morning at the club, beginning with a 9am shotgun start. There was still some confusion among the members of the "young" team and Captain Bart Olek as to whether all 20 places have been filled. The "old" team was determined several weeks ago under the competent direction of Captain Larry Johnson.This is the 7th playing in the challenge match series. Despite a courageous showing last year by the veteran players, the "young" team was able to emerge victorious. You can read the story about the 2008 finish here. With last year's victory, the junior set now holds a 4 - 2 advantage.
The two groups will meet tonight at 6pm to determine the teams and set the pairings for Saturday's match. We'll post those pairings later tonight and will provide photos and results of the competition tomorrow.
