A July Weather Preview

There's been plenty of discussion around the club about this year's weather - was the Spring really cold or was it great weather for golf? Has the summer started off poorly? We can't do anything about the past, but let's take a look at what July has in store. The chart above is from the DRYDAY Long Range Weather service; the service claims an accuracy rate of 85 percent. In the chart above, the yellow bars represent dry days, the lighter gray bars are transition days and the darker bars represent risky days. In general, the lower the percentage risk, the more likely it is the day will be dry.
As we look ahead, the next Fabulous Friday party (Rock & Roll Pool Party) is scheduled for July 17...a dry day.
The National Weather Service Climate Prediction Center is calling for "normal" weather for the next three months.
