Rides For Children On Beargrease Sunday

Once again, Northland members will be able to get a taste of what it's like to run sled dogs when Outdoor (ed)Ventures(website here) offers rides for children between 3 and 12 this coming Sunday before the official start of the John Beargrease Sled Dog Marathon. The rides will be offered from 10am to 1:00pm, just minutes before the first sled dog team in the marathon arrives at Northland. Rides for children will cost $10 with all proceeds going to the Positive Energy Day Camp Scholarship Fund.
Last year, there was a record turnout at Northland. You can see photos and a video from the 2008 event here.
The weather forecast calls for temperatures to drop slightly from what we're experiencing today, but there will be plenty of wood to keep the fire pit warm and service will be available on both floors of the clubhouse.
Don't forget that parking will be a premium and Superior Street will be closed; Northland members will be able to get to the clubhouse from the west only.
